Toby James (TJ) Osborne
Having contracted the infection Group B Streptococcus during the onset of labour, he was immediately taken into the care of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the RUH, given intravenous antibiotics and placed onto a ventilator to help him breathe. He was in the NICU for just 10 days, before being taken to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children following the diagnosis of heavy bleeding and swelling to the brain, and a well developed blood clot in the abdomen. 2 days later, he passed away. |
